Art in the Park

Dear artists and friends,
Despite the pandemic having been with us for over a year COVID-19 continues to cause major disruptions to our lives. Although the recent introduction of the Covid vaccines has given us reason to hope that an end to this situation is on the horizon, we must continue to foster all efforts to curb the spread of this deadly disease particularly with the recent surge in cases caused by the extremely transmissible Covid variants.
After much debate, plus discussion with various authorities it is with great regret we must announce that, just like last year, it will be impossible for us to hold our annual Art in the Park event scheduled for August 2021.
This has been an extremely difficult decision but is made in an excess of caution so that we are be able to ensure the health and safety of our exhibitors, our visitors, our volunteers and the local community. We will now turn our efforts to planning a return to normal with a “better than ever” event in 2022 when we hope to welcome everyone back to this hugely popular event once it is safe to do so.
On behalf of the Oakville Art Society, we wish to thank you for your ongoing encouragement and support. We hope everyone continues to remain safe and healthy during these very difficult times.
Your Art in the Park event committee

In 1965 the Society created Art in the Park to promote local artists and artisans, and today this show has blossomed into Oakville’s premiere art event.

Featuring more than 175 artists and artisans from across the country, the event attracts thousands of people to the Bronte waterfront.

Every medium is represented, from traditional oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings to glass, ceramics, photography, mixed media, sculptures and fine jewellery.

Visitors will get to meet the artists and learn about the works they have created.

Located at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park,
Bronte Road and Ontario Street

Art in the Park has a reputation for being the best run art show in Ontario.

Admission paid to get into Art in the Park Art plays a crucial role in the life of the Oakville Art Society.  It affords the OAS an opportunity to raise funds to subsidize programming and act as a venue for furthering interest and knowledge of the world of art.
