Art in the Park
Dear artists. We are planning for Art in the Park 2021 in August. However, even though vaccines give us hope, we are still not sure if we will be allowed to hold an event of this size, and if so what measures we will have to take to make it a safe experience for everyone.
We cannot in good conscience take applications at the moment until we have clarity about these issues. Here, you may express an interest in the 2021 event if you would be interested. No funds are due at this point, and this is not an application, merely a statement of interest. We apologize for these issues, while we are adapting our beloved event of 55 years to this new normal.
In 1965 the Society created Art in the Park to promote local artists and artisans, and today this show has blossomed into Oakville’s premiere art event.
Featuring more than 175 artists and artisans from across the country, the event attracts thousands of people to the Bronte waterfront.
Every medium is represented, from traditional oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings to glass, ceramics, photography, mixed media, sculptures and fine jewellery.
Visitors will get to meet the artists and learn about the works they have created.
Located at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park,
Bronte Road and Ontario Street
Art in the Park has a reputation for being the best run art show in Ontario.
Admission paid to get into Art in the Park Art plays a crucial role in the life of the Oakville Art Society. It affords the OAS an opportunity to raise funds to subsidize programming and act as a venue for furthering interest and knowledge of the world of art.
Children under 12 are free.
